Hi, my name is Mike and I am an audiophile. Years ago, I was a starving artist living on Ramen noodles, and spending WAY too much time in high-end showrooms. In fact, I landed my first job in A/V because one shop owner noticed that this lurking kid was answering all his customers' questions for him!

 

I'm old enough to remember the LP before vinyl was "retro", and young enough to appreciate Emimem and Jay-Z, as well as my beloved jazz.

 

The tweeky engineer-types can argue about dB response charts all night long, but I firmly believe that if you haven't auditioned a quality set of electrostatics (Magnepan, anyone?), and heard the spit falling into the bell of Lee Konitz's saxophone from six feet away with your eyes closed... well, you just haven't lived!
